Policy Elements

Here, we outline the required actions employees, suppliers, couriers and / or visitors / customers should take to protect themselves and other staff from a potential coronavirus infection.

Personal leave arrangements:

  • If you have cold symptoms, such as cough / sneezing / fever, or feel poorly, you are required to remove yourself from the workplace. If you are able to work, we may ask you to work from home if your position allows for this. We will ask you to get COVID-19 tested and self-isolate, you will be able to return to the office only if you are fully asymptomatic and with a negative test result.
  • If you have a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, you can return to the office only after you have fully recovered, with a doctor’s confirmation of your recovery and suitability to start work.
    Work from home requests:
  • If you have recently returned from areas with a high number of COVID-19 cases (based on DOH announcements), you are required to remove yourself from the workplace. If you are able to work, we may ask you to work from home if your position allows for this. You may return to the office only if you are fully asymptomatic. You will also be asked not to come into physical contact with any colleagues during this time.
  • If you have been in close contact with someone infected by COVID-19, with high chances of being infected yourself, you are required to remove yourself from the workplace. If you are able to work, we may ask you to work from home if your position allows for this. You will also be asked not to come into physical contact with any colleagues during this time.
  • If you are a parent and you have to stay at home with your children, and if you are able to work, we may ask you to work from home if your position allows for this. Follow up with management to make arrangements and set expectations.
  • If you need to provide care to a family member infected by COVID-19, you are required to remove yourself from the workplace. If you are able to work, we may ask you to work from home if your position allows for this. You will only be permitted to return to the office 14 calendar days after your family member has fully recovered, provided that you are asymptomatic, or you have a doctor’s certificate confirming you don’t have the virus. You will also be asked not to come into physical contact with any colleagues during this time.

Travelling / commuting measures:
